Autonomous and Automated Traffic Safety

The feasibility study addresses these focus areas:

  • Secure automated vehicles.

  • Safety for road users inside and outside the vehicle.

  • Integration of vehicles and infrastructure for safe transport solutions.

  • Enabling methods and technologies with clear applications for the development and deployment of safe automation.

The goal of the project is to answer the following questions: • What information from lidar in the infrastructure should be used to gain a complete understanding of the environment to avoid accidents and risks? • How should the system be designed to provide the right information to the right vehicle?

Intelligent Entrances for Mines

By combining lidar technology with 3D perception software from Flasheye, effective monitoring is enabled without sacrificing privacy. Flasheye's solution covers three main areas: security, production and quality, and sustainability. Sensors installed at each entrance allow for the detection of obstacles, monitoring of staff and vehicles with tags, and ensuring the correct number of people and vehicles. Additionally, the solution enables monitoring of production flows, truck volumes, and quality, as well as controlling ventilation to reduce energy consumption. The benefits of lidar technology include insensitivity to weather conditions, high precision and reliability, as well as privacy-friendly monitoring. Flasheye aims to develop a product and explore the business potential for such a product that can be sold and installed by a third party.
